I think the "game" is an artsy approach to interaction with other people online. through way of the body language of spirit-like deer in an endless forest XD

also I'm in an art contest kinda mood. If anyone wants to point me in the direction of one, I can't imagine that we're having a shortage.

also also I aught to be looking at some photoshop tutorials to get an idea of how to use the tools.

came home after the Chalkwalk contest on Saturday and there was an Intuos4 graphics tablet waiting for me.

I've been trying to do a simple toony character design lately and its not working. I am so rusty that I'm not getting anywhere. *pout*

If anyone knows some good style how-tos in the resource section let me know.
otherwise I think I'll go for photo references and and go that direction. Simplicity is that much more difficult in that you have far fewer lines in which to get it right.
If I were any sort of a good hard working artist I'd just play with it till I got it right but I've gotten used to instant gratification. Which I was going to do an expressionist painting of but I didn't. Did I mention I'm lazy?

my beta fishy's tail fin split. not sure what that means but he's different to draw now.
also I just realized I can see his tank plant right through him.


So the character is an orc who's decided (after years and travel and doing adventurous stuff) she's going to be a cook, which's made me go looking for fun images of kitchens and stills of cooking shows. Does anyone else like cooking shows? I miss iron chef, I don't get the food network anymore.

I've also decided that talking about something is the first step in making it happen, so I may post/list things I'm thinking about making from now on.
