Artist's Comments

One nugget of Yukon gold soldered to a silver band.
I was pretty anxious about soldering the gold on, I've had it since I was a little kid, but it went really smoothly after I got the nugget bent. It still hasn't began to tarnish but I don't wear it every day either because I made the band a little large and it only fits on a finger or two.
I may make the band a little narrower on the back side some time for extra comfort.

look how shiny it is, thats fabuluster for you.

working with metal is fun, I'm beginning to understand that artist cliche' with the large welded sculptures

I thought you could just go outside and pan for another one? I mean with global warming they should be all over the place up there? :P

I live in calgary :P
its pretty sunny here
except for the occasional hail
but you have to expect that in calgary you'll go through three or four weather conditions while you're walking somewhere
